I travel simply to see the beauty in things. To enjoy the scenery without being reminded of the destruction we are contantly causing.

This weekend was no exception, as I traveled first by airplane to Richmond, VA. Then hopped into a car to drive 2 1/2 hours at 3:30 am, not getting to my destination until 6am.

The next day (well actually that someday) we went to the Grand Caverns and found ourselves 200 feet below the earths surface, surrounded by amazing structures naturally formed over millions of years.

The tour guide was monotone and hard to understand. She was blonde, cute, and could have been really great if she was just a bit spunkier. Luckily the caves, good peeps, and my own jokes kept me entertained. Somehow, the earth likes to make things look phallic, it's just part of nature. I mean it is a cave...

After being down under, we sored to the top of a mountain range to ride along a beautiful road in Shenandoah Park. There is a road that goes straight through that was curvy and mountainous, which reminded me a lot of Cali. We took the interstate to get back quicker, though I did get through the mountains before nightfall! Way to see the light!

The next day was driving back day. We drove from VA, to Maryland (through DC), to Delaware, and finally to PA where we stopped. Yet, I had to keep going being the furthest away, so i hopped the NJ transit train to Penn Station. And even though I made it to the city, there were still 3 trains to take before i was home.

I could have gone on and on...
(with traveling, not talking....OK talking too)

You know what I find extremely repulsive? White foam flip flops. The kind that get dirty from the city, that gets onto your feet and then makes an imprint of the foot in the foamy center. It's bad enough that they make that flop, flop, flop noise when you walk, but to see someones dirty, feet on that flapper really makes me want to vomit.

I also hate plane delays and sold out super shuttle.

At least I'm going to try out my new camera, which is probably no better than the last. Is it so much to ask for to have a photo taken when you press the little button? I push the button on my digital and people age before the flash goes off. So, I'll see how this new and improved Canon SD800 with 7.1 mega pixels works.

I'll be back with photos to post. Last night I felt like my art had no meaning and I shouldn't even do it anymore. It's too expensive and some people just disrespect, in which case i rather not make the art.

Maybe some time with nature out in the middle of nowhere, I will find my inspiration back. I'll go beneath the earth and high above it. Seeing things from these different views, puts a perspective on things, those that are more important than us.

until next time...

This morning on the Today Show, big news is that Richard Gear and an Indian woman may get 3 months in an Indian Prison just for a cheek kiss and a shoulder grab. Very Important. Why does shit like that even get on TV?

It's funny how the media picks and chooses whatever they want to show the American people. So many events are going on in the world and Richard Gear's minimal kiss is what they choose to show us?

Shame on YOU Media!

This morning as i was walking into my very notorious building (The News Building, The Daily Planet---Superman's actual filming place), when I see a celebrity.

I'm not the kind of person that gets star stuck, well only when i saw Jet Li, that was cool, but this one was pretty famous. The amazing Rob Lowe. Not only did i see him, but we went through the revolving door at the same time, in opposite directions.

There are always these paparazzi type people standing around, like how do they know?

Why do people care so much about famous people? They're just glorified images of people we want them to be. Maybe so we can distract ourselves from our own lives.

"For the first time astronomers have discovered a planet outside our solar system that is potentially habitable, with Earth-like temperatures, a find researchers described Tuesday as a big step in the search for "life in the universe."

Now this is what I'm talking about!!! Such big news and I bet most people will not know this news for quite a while. With all of our modern technology and how people communicate, especially with Internet and blogging, you would think that this news would be exciting and new.

Home sweet home, here i come.

What the dillio?????

Once I learn the possibility of something, i tend to take it further and further...something that makes my mind a little disoriented. With this blog, comes a whole new world of other programs and user software and more computer talk.

It's the age of technology

...I'm right in the center of it all. I remember getting my first computer, chatting online for the first time, and using the first Microsoft product on my Dell computer. As the computers advanced, so did the entire world of communication, now being able to chat online. Fast forward to search engines and now search engine optimization.

So the new, or not so new thing is having a blog. It's so inter sting to see other people's choices in colors, layouts, subjects, photos, and every decision they make to make themselves heard.

The great thing is, which I haven't even learned yet is the photo possibilities...CRAZY.

HAPPY 420

Bible dip of the day:

What will my career be?

Answer:
Mudslinger - One who makes malicious charges and otherwise attempts to discredit an opponent, as in a political campaign

OK, the hook is in! So it's NOT the domain i wanted, who cares?

It's early Friday morning at 1:14 am and i just woke up. Nice sleep schedule. So a couple of things I'm going to use this blog for:

  • Observations - Living in NYC, not only do I hear the most bizarre things, but I am also witness to the madness that makes up NYC.
  • Thoughts - This will obviously go along with the observations. There has never been a time where i haven't thought beyond the actual situation into a realm of make-believe that doesn't even exist, only to me.
  • Perceptions/Realizations - This will come from the thoughts, what I perceive about people and situations.
  • Rants - It's what i do best. This will include insults, political and social rage, and getting out the hate. In the big apple, you have to eat or be eaten....then talk about it.

If you happen to come across this blog and you don't know me, well here are a couple of things to remember:

I see and hear everything around me, absorbing the energy, being good or bad. I see a lot of unfortunate things, so funny and some not so funny. This is going to be my freedom of writing, which will be a creative outlet for me. So what if I'm the only person who thinks I'm funny or clever? I have a lot to say and often times, no one to say it to.

I can sometimes be offensive and rude, but always honest. I an Optimistic Pessimist, which a therapist told me was original and she's never heard that before. I never went back.

Something so easy just turned out to be so hard, why? I was so excited about the blog and now i don't even thing I'll remember the site name, whatever, that's what bookmarks are for. It will actually be funny if people read this....which is highly unlikely.

I'm just going to use this as my free thought. Living in the city, thoughts are constantly flooding my mind, brain receptors hardly being able to process all that is going on around me. Thousands rush by and i wonder about every single one. Imagine how hard my mind has to work for that, not to mention my own crazy thoughts going on.

So you'll have to excuse my grammar because i know it's bad for certain things, but for creative writing and a blog that no one will read, i can write from my mind. Some will get it, some won't. It's almost like a journal...that's online....and public. I have a lot of funny stories, photos, and dialogues that i would love to share. People need to laugh and not only that, they need to realize how stupid they are sometimes and just get some COMMON SENSE.

Well i know there won't be spelling errors b/c we are gifted with spellcheck, which makes us dumber, as do calculators, and many modern day devices that make it ''easier" to live. Imagine if we had to memorize a phone number, aahhhh!!!
